From the beginning of time gold has been one of the most valued and precious of all metals.
Gold has inspired legends and though to hold magical and mystical properties. It is recognised as a badge of royalty, prized as a form of international exchange and been fought over.
Its exquisite beauty, durability and workability have earned it a place as the jeweller’s favourite metal, whilst a gift of gold has long been a symbol of lasting love and devotion.
The earliest known Gold jewellery has been traced to the Sumer civilisation that lived between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, in what is now Southern Iraq, around 3000BC.
